For the last couple of years, especially last season, there has been a noticeable population of green stink bug in some Indiana soybean fields.
For the last couple of years, especially last season, there has been a noticeable population of green stink bug in some Indiana soybean fields.
Reports from those checking fields indicate that brown stink bugs were busy this spring feeding on seedling corn.
As the soybean crop begins to mature and the plants “shut down”, many insects are no longer interested in these plants.
Combines are rolling and wagons of grain are heading for dryers and storage. Already, questions have been received about soybean seed observed to be shrunken and/or discolored.
As the growing season progresses, I am getting more questions about insects feeding on hemp.
