Hemp continues to draw interest from stakeholders in Indiana and elsewhere. Although production acres remain low in Indiana and neighboring states — primarily due to an underdeveloped supply chain in the region — curiosity about the crop and the products made from the plant continues to grow.
We recently hosted a half day seminar, Hemp from Field to Function, on March 26th to share information on the many different applications of the plant. The seminar also included research on health and environmental contamination in hemp.
Links for the talks can be found on the Hemp Project Website’s hemp seminar page. This event was focused on research surrounding the plant after it is harvested. If you are interested in seeing hemp in the field and learning more about growing hemp, join us out at the Agronomy Center for Research and Education (ACRE) for a hemp field day this summer. Keep an eye out for a “Save the Date” in the coming weeks.
