Sponsored Product Research works in conjunction with local, national and multinational manufacturing industries to develop and test new products and technologies for the control of domestic, peri-domestic and certain insect pests of public health importance. Laboratory and field experiments are conducted to evaluate the efficacy of new chemistries, technologies, application techniques, etc., for the management of ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, termites, filth flies, fleas, spiders, etc. Testing is mostly performed under non-GLP conditions (as with most universities) but based on industry requests, testing can also be done under semi- or light-GLP conditions. Approximately 2000 sq. ft. of temperature and lighting controlled lab space is available for product testing research. Additionally, walk-in mock-kitchens are available for testing products in more field-realistic testing. For field experiments, we have collaborator sites all over Indiana and some parts of Illinois and Ohio. For more information on testing and product development opportunities please contact Dr. Ameya Gondhalekar ( ameyag@purdue.edu) or Dr. Grzesiek Buczkowski ( gbuczkow@purdue.edu).
