The Purdue University Pest Management Conference is the oldest pest management training meeting of its kind, with over 80 years of commitment to providing the know-how for our industry to move forward. We strive to develop a strong program each year that will deliver new ideas and technologies, and to promote innovative and environmentally sensitive approaches to pest management. The Purdue Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management is a corner-stone for providing technical training to the pest management industry. We find that almost everyone in the industry has trained or utilized our training resources in the course of their career. We offer a great experience, highlighting the most popular speakers, a trade show featuring the industry’s leading vendors, opportunities for networking with people from all corners of the industry, as well as the chance to experience the Boilermaker spirit. Our program is approved annually by almost every state in the USA for continuing education credits.
The Department of Entomology Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management offers undergraduate degrees in structural and medical insect biology. More information on our undergraduate programs.
Our graduate programs lead to Masters (M.S.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in Urban Entomology. Research programs typically focus on the biology, ecology, and management of urban and industrial pests. Research is also being conducted on urban pests using molecular and genomic approaches. More information on our graduate programs.
