The Industrial Affiliates Programs (IAP) was established to assist the urban pest management community in meeting research and education needs for the 21st century. Pest management professionals in the urban and industrial environment are challenged with various issues regarding the design and implementation of sound, practical pest management. These challenges are being identified and met by the joint efforts of the industrial and academic research community, as facilitated by the Industrial Affiliates Program at Purdue’s Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management.
The program is membership-based and designed to promote greater participation by industry in the Center’s research activities. Current Industrial Affiliates members include:

The Industrial Affiliates Program serves the industry by being a catalyst and facilitator of collaborative efforts. In addition to promoting research interactions across industry- academic boundaries, the program also acts as a communications bridge, providing information to Affiliate members via a biannual workshop series on issues and problems of common interest (See PDF Summaries below).

The Industrial Affiliates Program is membership-based, and designed to promote greater participation by industry in the Center’s research activities. Current Industrial Affiliates members include Dow AgroSciences, BASF, Syngenta, FMC, and Bayer Environmental Science. An Advisory Board, comprised of representatives from full-member firms, helps to guide the Industrial Affiliates Program. The Board shares the responsibility for shaping the philosophies underlying the programs undertaken by the Industrial Affiliates Program. Specifically, the Board:
–identifies and prioritizes research needs
–develops joint research projects
–identifies corporate personnel to participate in or review research projects
–identifies issues and develops programs for their resolution
–develops educational activities to deliver IPM technologies
–assists in recruiting and retaining students in the discipline
–counsels educators in developing future programs of study
