Dieback from euonymus scale
Euonymus scale - Note white males on leaves and brown females on twigs.
Note yellow halos on euonymus caused by euonymus scale feeding. This symptom is caused by scales directly feeding on palisade parenchymal cells of leaves. Like other armored scales, the euonymus scale is NOT a phloem feeder.
