Purdue University offers an annual eight-week winter course in agriculture.  Four curricula are available - general agriculture, animal agriculture, plant agriculture, and pest management.

The pest management curriculum provides information on identification of pest problems.  Students are trained in the use of pesticides and scouting techniques.  Pest management students study weeds, insects, and diseases in addition to studying various production practices.
