How's the old sprayer working?  If you have any doubts, spring maintenance is in order.

Pesticides are an important pest management tool.  However, pesticides sometimes fail to provide the desirable level of control.  One of the most frequent causes of poor pesticide performance is erratic application.  Worn and clogged equipment is a major cause of poor application.

If a pesticide is needed in your pest management program this season, choose the correct product.  And make sure it is applied properly.  A few minutes spent repairing equipment prior to application is a good investment.
