conservation teaching curriculum by:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>increasing student knowledge about flowers and pollinators<\/li>\n<li>improving student understanding and empathy for global pollinator decline<\/li>\n<li>motivating students to apply learned pollinator conservation techniques in daily life.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The most powerful justification for electronic learning activities is that they are intimately familiar to digital generation students and are, in fact, their learning preference. Instant feedback is built in as is an opportunity to repeat at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers have discovered that these electronic learning activities are <strong>portable<\/strong> and require minimal set-up time in the classroom, provide increased <strong>accessibility<\/strong> for students who may be squeamish, allergic or absent during class and are reviewable for study, homework or examinations, are <strong>flexible<\/strong> and can be used as stand-alone teaching tools or plugged into any of a variety of lessons. Use of these apps also ensures that every student can <strong>access<\/strong> the same material, no matter when they begin, can choose where and when they complete the apps, can revisit sections that were unclear, or review the entire curriculum from time to time. The learning apps are <strong>available<\/strong> 24\/7 \u2013 365, can be used as <strong>teaching tools<\/strong> in a classroom, small work groups, individual study and may be even used on e-learning days (snow days) as homework, review or as extra credit assignments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended Browsers:<\/strong> The interactive learning activities should work in most modern browsers. Gibb, Dr. Christian Y. Oseto, and the Purdue University Department of Entomology as part of a pollinator conservation education grant funded by the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR).
