Are you thinking of hiring a pest management specialist?  Look for an individual with proven ability in some aspect of plant protection.

Many pest management firms offer a range of services, from pest scouting to soil testing.  Make sure you understand the program you will receive.  Don't pay for more services than are really needed.

Remember that with pest management you're buying advice.  To keep that advice as unbiased as possible, it's best to hire a specialist who does not also sell pest control products.

A good pest management specialist will make you money, but a poor pest management specialist is no bargain at any price.
