Threat:
Xylotrechus altaicus is likely to be imported in solid wood packing materials (SWPM). Establishment and resulting tree mortality is expected to cause major ecological disruptions in forests where larch is an important component with a corresponding loss of biodiversity.
Distribution:
The exotic longhornded beetle is not known to occur in Indiana.
